Resumen
Humanity is experiencing several changes in thought systems, which show the transformation from a reductionist and linear approach to a more holistic and integral one in an increasingly noticeable way. For this reason, it is important to continue proposing alternatives that contribute to education and attend to what an entire scientific revolution is demanding. The present narrative research work was carried out with this in mind, and was based on the observation of the academic space “Pedagogies of Care and Good Living” of the UDFJC within the framework of this paradigm shift. For this purpose, the information was collected through narrative reports and field journals, which together with some surveys revealed the most remarkable aspects of the pedagogies of care. In response to this observation, a pilot was designed and implemented from biology to understand the human body from a physiological perspective, in which, through meditation, physical activity and artistic exercises students were encouraged to understand their body and its relationships with the environment by means of teamwork, sharing and caring for everything and everyone as a way of being. This pilot made it possible to confirm that the course design based on biology is a proposal that can introduce this new perspective of complexity, given that it is from corporeality that the interconnections, the subjective, and the ancestral knowledge, among other aspects can be addressed. This paper concludes that education, whether higher or basic, must adopt new alternatives that allow students to leave behind mechanistic visions and destructive habits, and instead manage to cultivate for the next generations the logic of care that is born from the recognition of the planet as a super organism and themselves as part of it.
