Abstract

The Mattresses market generates significant environmental impacts, especially those related to excessive waste generation. Because of this the development of environmental management systemic sister important for the Nuevo Milenio mattress company whose goal is to leave the foundations for subsequent implementation. The content of this paper begins with a detailed description of the economic activity of the company, its organizational and production structure, followed by a diagnosis in which the inputs and outputs of the processes were identified, the legal requirements and existing environmental practices, thus determining the needs and areas for change. Subsequently, the policy, objectives, goals and environmental programs have been formed in order to minimize the environmental aspects arising from the manufacture of mattresses and box spring frame was formulated. Finally, procedures for the identification and evaluation of environmental aspects and impacts and to identify environmental legal requirements applicable to the organization were made.
