Resumen
The Creole potato (Solanum phureja) is a species native to South America that has several valuable characteristics such as the provision of vitamins and minerals, in addition to being a great attraction for gastronomy. In addition to this, the Creole potato has a great adaptation to the environment where it is found, but its rapid maturation makes its transportation and distribution difficult. The objective of the present study is to compare the expression of the ETR2 and PDC1 genes present in the maturation of Solanum phureja, in order to evaluate the gene expression, both in tubers irradiated with the 60Co radioisotope, and in non-irradiated tubers. To carry out the respective studies, laboratory processes were carried out, carrying out methodologies such as: DNA extraction, RNA extraction, DNA and RNA quantification, conventional PCR, electrophoresis, RT-PCR and RT-qPCR, these methodologies were carried out. carried out in the clones selected according to the crop yield. As a result, it was obtained that clone 39 and the mutant white flower clone have controlled maturation compared to the other clones, which indicates that the dormancy of these clones is superior and, furthermore, they are closest to the non-irradiated Colombia variety.
