Resumen
The main purpose of this research project is to characterize the explanations that the 10th grade students of the Colegio Minuto de Dios Ciudad Verde construct for traffic accidents. Under a qualitative approach, the interview was applied as an information collection instrument to a total sample of 35 students made up of 16 women and 19 men, data was obtained around the categories significant learning, previous knowledge, teaching learning of sciences, knowing /scientific knowledge, contextualized teaching of physics and contextualized conceptual stories The information was processed using the MaxQDA software, which allowed the fragments of the answers given by the students to be coded, which finally allowed us to conclude that the students perceived the contextualized conceptual cartoon resource as an interesting element in the learning process, in addition to having a perception of greater learning; However, through the triangulation process with authors, it was possible to reflect on the fact that the cartoon contextualized is only a pedagogical resource that in itself does not lead to the success of the knowledge transfer process, because although it can be incorporated, it should only be part of a whole planning process that can be part of a strategy or pedagogical intervention that not only includes resources but also methods, stages such as contextualization, among others.
