Resumen
The José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden of Bogotá has an area of approximately 20 hectares, where 34 living collections are kept with a specialty in high Andean forest and páramo (JBB, n.d.), which is part of the main ecological structure of the city, contributing to the diversity of ecosystem services where climate regulation is highlighted through the storage of organic carbon in the soils. Currently, a project entitled "Variation of organic carbon in the soil of the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden" was proposed, which seeks to address the problem of the lack of information and data regarding the storage of carbon in the soil of the Entity. The objective of the internship is to support the research "Variation of organic carbon in the soil of the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden of Bogotá" by taking soil samples in 21 sites established by their importance and representativeness, sending samples to the IGAC laboratory, organizing a database with the results obtained in laboratory analyses, measurement of seven physical properties that allow them to be complementary to the research and at the same time be the basis for the development of the topic of interest (deepening), and elaboration of a database with bibliographic information that serves as input for the research project.
