Resumen
The paper focuses on the qualitative description of the nation city of Singapore and its quantitative evaluation, which are part of an exploratory research for the ORCA and SciBas research group of the Francisco José de Caldas District University. Therefore, during the first semester of 2018, a conceptual review was made on the subject, proposing an methodology whose snuyources are selected with the category of smart city in the context of sustainability. The search for information was focused on the databases: IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, Springer Link, among others; and in the search for the evaluation model. Problem: absence of literature and conceptualization for topics related to smart cities. Objective: comprehend the smart cities topics as success cases. Methodology: interpretation of information concerning to smart cities. Results: establish the development of the city of Singapore in topics such as smart mobility and efficient energy management, among other. Discussion: presents the positive aspects that Singapore has achieved to innovate and stand out as a smart city. Conclusions: shows different implemented projects that allow that help to solve the problems that arise in the city. Originality: inside of academic literature there is little reference to smart cities using methodologies to establish categories of models and documentary analysis to determine the success of them. Limitations: as the methodologies assume a high quantity of variables in the category of urban intelligence, in perspective the study can be extended to other indicators such as Intellectual Capital and Life Quality.
