Elaboración del programa de manejo integral de residuos sólidos ordinarios para el conjunto residencial Terrazas de Oriente de la localidad de San Cristóbal, Bogotá D.C.

Abstract

This study develops a regular solid waste management program for the Terrazas de Oriente residential complex in the San Cristóbal locality of Bogotá, D.C., with the goal of reducing the environmental impact of inadequate disposal. The collection room was properly georeferenced and a preliminary study was conducted for the residential complex, along with a community census and waste characterization through gauging and quartering. As part of the program, awareness campaigns, community training, and a proposal for adapting the collection room were implemented in compliance with RAS Title F regulations . The results highlight the importance of environmental education, community participation, and infrastructure optimization to improve waste management in residential settings.
