Resumen
The perspective of art education as a product of a dynamic, legal, historical and global sociocultural within educational processes have cataloged a conception of art in education, allows open discussion of research, since it is considered that It should not take lightly the union of these two terms education and art; therefore it is necessary to recognize in the history of education in Colombia the question: how has instituted art in education and since conceptions and approaches ?, allowing generate positions around what the twenty-first century are art understood within the school, under the name of art education. Therefore, a historical overview of how arts education begins to be included in educational guidelines in Colombia, taking into account the views and approaches of art education in cycle 5 °, 10 ° and 11 ° will be displayed; whereas the SED established as a priority the quality and relevance of education through school organization for educational cycles.
