Resumen
In the current Colombian industry, specifically within the food sector, competition has been characterized by its intensity and constancy. Moreover, companies operating in this market must comply with strict mandatory regulations. As a result, each organization has found it necessary to develop and implement specialized and efficient processes that enable them to remain competitive and sustainable within the industry. In this context, the integration of procedures that connect the entire supply chain—from suppliers to the final product delivery to the customer—assumes a fundamental role. La Dolcezza S.A.S. is a company with more than 24 years of experience in the food sector, distinguished by its extensive knowledge of supply, production, and distribution processes, which has enabled it to maintain efficient operations. However, due to the high competitiveness of the market and the need to preserve its position, the company requires the implementation of practical and effective tools that optimize critical processes within its production chain. One of the key aspects of its operation is production planning and raw material requirements, where opportunities for improvement have been identified. Currently, the company does not have a Master Production Schedule (MPS), which hinders its ability to ensure production aligned with demand, thereby avoiding inventory surpluses or delivery delays.
