Resumen
Nowadays, Colombia presents a large percentage of people with physical limitations, being the visual impaired diseases the most common disability in this country. The investment on institutions for the benefit of an equity and quality education for this community is really low, that is what generates a non-inclusion to educational process to which a sighted person has access. During the execution time, a series of steps were held with the purpose of finishing the entire project. In first place, a pre-processing process to the braille image were performed to adapt the character contained within it. Then, the separation of the information contained in each braille cell were made in order to make the comparison with a database already established. This database contains the twenty-seven alphabet letters and the twenty punctuation signs of Spanish language. It also holds a six-position eigenvector that identifies every single letter and sign in one only way. After having made the vector’s comparison, the export of the text contained in the image by using a graphical user interface were the next stage. That allowed the person to see the transcript in (.TXT) format, for further analysis of the content.
