Resumen
Rural education in Colombia faces serious challenges, marked by a historical learning gap caused by violence, social conflict, and state neglect. This is compounded by the low quality and limited coverage of educational services, which fail to meet the actual needs of these communities. To counteract this situation, the Ministry of National Education has promoted initiatives aimed at transforming the traditional pedagogical model. The proposal is to move away from rote learning and toward strategies based on active participation and dialogic learning, where knowledge is co-constructed through interaction with others and the environment. Following this approach, an educational proposal has been implemented at the Rafael Gutiérrez Girardot school, centered on the concept of the ecosystem to develop critical thinking. The project begins by analyzing the students' context to then design and facilitate activities that encourage reflection and analysis. Through the continuous assessment of these skills, the goal is to cultivate individuals who are conscious of the importance of their environment, capable of valuing diversity, and prepared to take an active role in caring for the ecosystem, both at an individual and community level.
