Resumen
The globalization policies have driven progress in various socio-cultural and educational areas, in particular, have marked a technological progress by facilitating the teaching of English as a foreign language by proposing other ways to access the language content by using a variety of tools that for the particular case of this article, will treat the Podcast as an educational tool that facilitates the teaching exercise developed by a novice teacher.
This paper is a result of the experience that emerged in the space of the primary school teaching practice carried out in a public institution, which aims to present some educational guidelines applied when using the Podcast and its implications in a classroom with a fourth-grade children group by researching the effectiveness and possibilities offered by this artifact in the teaching of English.
At this point, the theories of Galan (2018) Solano, (2010), Talero, A. y Elizabeth, S. (2012), and Alvarez (2014) were used to highlight the impact of technology and its pedagogical application in a classroom.
In this research, a qualitative look has been taken, for which two instruments were available: the field diary of the practicing teacher and an interview, to assess the effectiveness of the use of this device in the English sessions.
As a conclusion, it was evidenced by the improvement of the vocabulary domain a different perception about the use of the podcast, for being a facilitator of the English language domain on a group of elementary students.
