Resumen
This thesis explores the design and implementation of an intervention program using applied theater aimed at enhancing emotional intelligence among formal and informal educators in Bogotá. Titled "Salgamos de los Chiros," the program focuses on strengthening educators' emotional intelligence through innovative theatrical methods, including role-playing, improvisations, and body expression exercises. The primary goal is to foster human development within educational settings through theatricality. Applied theater, with its creative and constructive approach to addressing complex emotional situations, provides educators with effective tools to manage their own and their students' emotions. The program not only addresses emotional management but also emphasizes induction and training methods for educators to tackle challenges in their work environments, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere. Throughout the program, educators shared their emotional experiences and engaged in exercises designed to improve empathy, assertive communication, and emotional management. The research focused on evaluating how applied theater can facilitate the training of emotional skills and the induction of methods to enhance educators' overall well-being. Preliminary findings suggest an improvement in emotional management and a more positive perception of well-being within the educational environment. This study highlights the value of applied theater as an effective tool for addressing and transforming emotional challenges in education, offering new perspectives for the personal and professional development of educators.
