Resumen
The use of artificial intelligence is a current and constantly developing phenomenon where, in general, human behavior has been taken as a model to emulate and perform a greater number of tasks in the shortest possible time. Artificial intelligence has not only become the solution to operational problems of everyday life, but has also expanded its use to unexpected fields that we generally consider as belonging to the human species, such as the arts. This paper provides a historical overview of the origins and main discussions on artificial intelligence. Subsequently, the applications of artificial intelligence in the arts are addressed and the cases of the machine learning platforms for music exploration Amper and AIVA are studied. For this purpose, an experiment called Juego compositivo -with participants both internal and external to the Faculty of Arts ASAB- is carried out in which these platforms are used and their applicability is evaluated. Finally, we reflect on the implications of artificial intelligence in music and the paradigm shifts that this implies in both disciplines.
