Resumen
In Colombia, the evolution and incidence of the armed conflict is closely related to the land; element that although it is not the direct cause of the conflict, influences the decisions for it. Therefore, in the scenario in which the country finds itself, it is necessary to implement public policies that protect and promote the fulfillment and correct exercise of these commitments. One way to monitor deforestation has been taking advantage of the considerable advances in recent years in the development of technological tools aimed at the study of natural resources, from statistical techniques to modeling phenomena, taking images of the earth's surface using remote sensore, and even the development of software for the processing of said images in the coverage study. The Fit for Purpose methodology constitutes a good tool for the multipurpose cadastre by making the process more effective. In addition, being modular and participatory, it allows generating social awareness that can lead to a medium-term decrease in deforestation of forests, as they are understood as life-generating territories.
