Abstract

Forest fires in vegetation cover, has its natural or anthropogenic, considered an important land use change factor in Latin America, Fire plays an important role in the structure and functioning of different ecosystems. (Dwyer et al. 1999). Latin America is estimated that emissions from fires accounted for 15.77% of the emissions from the burning of biomes around the world. (Van der Werf et al 2006) .The conservation and sustainable management of natural resources at the municipal level, requires the formulation of a contingency plan against forest fires, to have a tool that provides a response to the present and future events, which may affect forests, forest plantations and other land cover types.
