Relación entre la enseñanza de la biología y la construcción de ciudadanía, a propósito de la interculturalidad: Una revisión documental del Congreso Nacional de Investigación en Enseñanza de la Biología y la Educación Ambiental y el Congreso Internacional de Formación de Profesores de ciencias (2011-2021)

This research project, framed within the first phase of the international project "Education in Biology and the Construction of Citizenship: a Latin American perspective", aims to analyze the presence of interculturality in the teaching of biology for the construction of citizenship. This documentary research was carried out based on the review of the documents presented at the National Congress of Research in Teaching of Biology and Environmental Education and the International Congress of Science Teacher Training, in a time range of 11 years (2011- 2021). For this, four phases were implemented: 1. Elaboration of the data collection instrument that would allow the categorization of the documents to be analyzed in Perspectives of education, Perspectives of interculturality, Types of Citizenship and Teaching approaches, 2. Selection of documents, 3. Reading of documents and 4. Interpretation of data, to finally synthesize the information obtained within analysis graphs that allowed to show that the documents presented within the two Congresses in the range of the years studied have a greater inclination towards the Perspective of functional interculturality, Perspective of cultural education and type of Citizenship type D, which allows us to conclude that these congresses intend to have a recognition of the different cultures, ethnic groups, diversities, collectives and others to build attitudes of respect for diversity promoting dialogue and tolerance for the sake of of social justice.
