Resumen
This work is an important contribution to the research on how to improve the mechanical properties of the 7075-T6 aluminum, in it a thermal treatment of Solubilization will be made at a temperature of 500 ° C, which will allow to create a solid supersaturation solution, which It will maintain by tempering in water at room temperature, this will serve as a starting point to be able to harden by the treatment of artificial aging, in periods of 2, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 18 hours at a temperature of 180 ° C , in order to change its microstructure.
After the thermal treatment, mechanical tests of hardness, impact and tension will be carried out to determine, if the thermal manipulation was appropriate, and in this way perform an industrial ultrasound measurement, to determine what variation occurred during the thermal treatment. Finally, an analysis of the microstructure will be carried out by means of an optical microscope and a SEM equipment, to determine the displacement of the precipitates within the structure and the other elements, and finally, to reach the conclusion of how the periods of artificial aging in the speed of sound propagation within the material, and in this way to be able to fulfill the main objective of the project, which is to find the relationship that exists between the artificial aging at 180 ° C in periods of 2, 4, 6 , 8. 12 and 18 hours on the speed of sound propagation in the material.
