Abstract

The program "Voices and Regions" is an initiative of the Colombian Ministry of the Interior, specifically the Directorate for Citizen Participation and Communal Action. In this episode, a review is made of the National Communal Games that were held in Manizales. The achievements and the organization of the event are highlighted, as well as the satisfaction of the participants and visitors. Bogotá took first place in the games, followed by Cundinamarca, Boyacá and Caldas. In addition to medals and trophies, prizes were awarded in sports implementation to the winners. The importance of participation and the sense of belonging of the communes in these events is highlighted. Fernando Gutiérrez, Secretary of National Planning for Communal Action, and other communes leaders, discuss the need for greater participation and a sense of belonging among the communes. The importance of starting to work now on the next communes games that will be held in 2015 is also mentioned.
