Resumen
The José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden of Bogotá (JBB-JCM) is a place dedicated to the conservation and protection of natural species, to promote plant diversity, and to provide educational activities that mainly use visual aids. Visitors can enjoy tours that raise awareness about the importance of protecting nature while perceiving different living collections organized in ecosystems. Through our senses, we can perceive different stimuli of the environment, including color, aroma, taste, and sound. These stimuli often invite us to reflect on the importance of the different components of the ecosystem with which we interact. To improve the pedagogical and environmental experience of the JBB-JCM, a project was developed to characterize the space with a model of auditory stimulation. This was achieved by constructing a soundscape that expands the range of proposals for visitors of all ages and cognitive abilities. In this way, inclusion, appropriation, and innovation are encouraged by enriching the conservation experience of the ecological systems.
