Resumen
This work describes technical tools of the Jazz language and vocal resources of the Scat Singing technique used by the singers Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Tormé in the songs Blue Skies and Autumn Leaves. Through the transcription and analysis of the topics listed above, an approach is made to this form of musical expression, knowing its origins, the historical context of these two singers and their relationship with this technique. Likewise, it is expected with this research, to recognize the elements and concepts related to this technique and that facilitate its execution, understanding how these are related to the jazz music theory of the Bebop and Cool periods, and highlight how this vocal technique can generate benefits in the study of singing. And it is to understand how this technique can be learned from theoretical concepts and practical resources of the musical language and the North American language that are found in the transcriptions made and the musical description of the analyzed sound events.
