Resumen
This research wanted to focus on the role of teachers, because with their work they guide students within a community permeated by cultural and social characteristics identified through social representations of the environment that configure both individual and group interaction in a context. Taking into account the above, this research focused on the analysis of the social representations of the environment of the teachers of the Gimnasio Colombiano del Sur institution developed in different phases as follows: at first, a diagnosis was made through a documentary review and an analysis of the territory; the second phase corresponds to the identification of the three fundamental elements of a social representation that Jodelet mentions: content or information, object and subject; as well as the dimensions of social representation, focusing on the information dimension; and finally phase 3 that corresponds to the qualitative analysis of content collected in the previous phases.
