Resumen
Considering the interest originated in the academic environment for the study of creativity and its manifestations, it is pertinent to understand what exactly is admitted as creativity in different contexts. This article, discusses the university environment, particularly the perceptions of first-year students about creativity, its development and the essential characteristics to qualify a person as creative. The group of participants conformed by students from Chile and Colombia serves to contrast the impact of creative teaching received from two perspectives, first as students who pursued elementary and secondary education, exploring aspects and views of their school education, and second, as future teachers, scrutinizing perceptions constructed on the basis of the professional training they receive. By presenting a type of descriptive and qualitative study with the ethnographic-action research method that validates the description of questionnaires and its findings.
