Documentación de la Hacienda Los Molinos : diseño y producción de un podcast para la enseñanza del patrimonio en la educación básica secundaria

Abstract

The objective of this monograph is the teaching of heritage in basic secondary education by documenting the history of the Hacienda Los Molinos, a place declared as historical heritage. As a result of this historical documentary work, a podcast is elaborated to be used as a didactic resource with a group of students from the area surrounding the Hacienda. The documentation of the history of the Hacienda allowed the elaboration of a timeline identifying some historical milestones related to the presence of the Jesuit mission in Colombia, to whom the Hacienda belonged in its beginnings, in the 17th century and its subsequent expulsion in 1767 by the King of Spain Charles III and the subsequent uses that have been made of this place. In spite of being declared a heritage protection area in 2001 by the district administration, the Hacienda is currently in total abandonment. The topic of heritage education in basic education and in the training of social science graduates does not occupy a prominent place in the curriculum. For this reason, it is important this type of explorations from where it is possible to elaborate formative proposals on heritage. This monograph was elaborated during the pedagogical cycle and systematization of experiences.
