Resumen
This work’s main intention is to design a teaching material proposal for teaching English as a foreign language to independent users of the language, from a science, technology and society (STS from now on) education approach and through the adaptation and adjustments of a set of journalistic materials. Hence, a container methodology is used, through which these materials are approached and specially adjusted in order to, as the same motto of this methodology states, cross the traditional curriculum logic border and link more engaging aspects in regards to the classic contents used in this kind of teaching. With this, its teaching is expected to shift from grammatical and artificial materials, to current, actual and with cultural and scientific relevancy materials.
