dc.description	Las álgebras de conglomerados son anillos conmutativos con un conjunto de distinguidos generadores que tienen una estructura combinatoria. Estas fueron introducidas por los rusos Fomin y Zelevinsky en 2002 como resultado de investigaciones en el campo de la Teoría de Lie, sin embargo desde entonces han aparecido en muchos otros contextos, como la teoría de representaciones de álgebras, teoría de números, geometría diferencial y entre muchos otros. En este documento expositivo se da una introducción a las álgebras de conglomerados y se expone una propiedad especial denominada Fenómeno de Laurent. Seguido a esto se ilustra cómo la teoría de las álgebras de conglomerados conduce a aplicaciones en diversas áreas de la matemática, especí- ficamente en la teoría de números.	spa
dc.description.abstract	Cluster algebras are commutative rings with a set of distinguished generators They have a combinatorial structure. These were introduced by the Russians Fomin and Zelevinsky in 2002 as a result of research in the field of Lie Theory, however since then have appeared in many other contexts, such as the theory of representations of algebras, theory of numbers, differential geometry and among many others. In this expository paper an introduction to cluster algebras is given and a special property called the Laurent Phenomenon. Following this, it is illustrated how the theory of cluster algebras leads to applications in various areas of mathematics, specifically specifically in number theory.	spa
