Resumen
In this research work we can see that the mind as a holistic construction is endowed with analytical and logical rationality, but also with feelings, emotions and impulses. The union of these elements operates in harmony, forming assertive subjects, with good decision making; however, in the classroom, there is an absence of recognition of the importance of emotional competencies. Feelings have been considered as accessories, which is why they have been left aside, placing IQ as the center of the educational debate. Aspects such as socio-affectivity and emotional intelligence are topics that have been derived only to the clinical level, leaving aside the importance and necessity that they have at the moment of approaching the teaching-learning processes in the classroom.
