Resumen
This project involved the design and assembly of a hydraulic system to three vulcanization presses of the company CROYDON COLOMBIA S.A. NAUGATUCK brand, which were acquired with the company Canzani, as second hand, CROYDON S.A. decided to readapt the presses and thus managed to produce the soles within the same line of the company improving the process and reducing production costs. The readaptation of the presses was carried out, its hydraulic and structural operation was evaluated and its process was identified, in this way a series of measures were determined: materials, size of the parts, mechanical parts, operating limitations in the vulcanization process, operating conditions, capacity, types of drive, stroke of the cylinder piston and other characteristics of the machine that intervened in the hydraulic and structural circuit. With a proper analysis of the equipment, the hydraulic system was completely redesigned, replacing all the components for those with current technology and higher precision, the power and control panels that the presses did not have before were made and thus the performance of the machine was improved. In addition, a stress analysis was performed on the press structure, validating its operating capacity by means of the SolidWorks program.
