Abstract

The development of this RETIE 2024 consultation application arises as a technological response to the current needs of the Colombian electricity sector, in a regulatory context that demands precision, agility, and constant updating. This first chapter presents the rationale behind the creation of the project, addressing the context of the latest version of the Technical Regulations for Electrical Installations, the importance of digitizing regulatory content to improve inspection and certification processes, and the link between academic training and professional application. In this way, the conceptual and practical basis that gives meaning to the proposed solution is established: a digital tool that facilitates efficient and structured access to regulations, strengthening both technical performance in the field and the training of technologists capable of responding to the challenges of the sector.
