Resumen
This work presents the formulation, process and results of the research carried out with high school students Gustavo Rojas Pinilla with whom they inquired about their social representations built around the concept of democracy. The work four chapters and a separate conclusions. In the first chapter the objectives that guided the research as well as the methodological and theoretical horizon of it are exposed. The second chapter reflects the results of the workshops applied to students with which it seeks to unveil the social representations built on democracy around some structuring categories such as conflict, participation, freedom, norms, rights and duties. In the second chapter the conflict is addressed as a central category and how it articulates the democratic relations of the school. The third chapter finally collects the notions of students in relation to the values that make up a democratic system or way of life.
