Resumen
This thesis project focuses on addressing the lack of systematic analysis of the information collected during the maintenance of cycloidal mechanical transmission equipment supplied by Tramec. The absence of standardized documentation has resulted in downtime, cost overruns, and significant operational challenges for the company. The main objective is to carry out a failure analysis by characterizing and classifying the equipment based on various technical parameters. This includes the detailed collection of data on maintenance activities, failures, and operating times, followed by a statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends. The project involves the thorough collection of maintenance, failure, and operation time data, followed by a statistical analysis to detect patterns and trends. The most suitable failure analysis methodology for these cycloidal systems will be selected and applied to present the results and conclusions obtained. The expected impact includes a significant reduction in downtime and repair costs, as well as improvements in strategic decision-making for future acquisitions and support in maintenance processes. By systematically and analytically identifying and addressing the root causes of failures, the goal is not only to optimize the performance of Tramec's assets but also to establish a solid foundation for the implementation of more effective and sustainable long-term maintenance practices.
