Gestión en el despliegue de la red de 700MHz para la empresa colombiana de telecomunicaciones TIGO en los aspectos de documentación, direccionamiento IP y servicios L3- VPN

Abstract

Tigo is carrying out one of its most important plans in telecommunications, which is allowing it to provide greater mobile coverage nationwide, it all started when at the end of 2019 it announced the start of operation in low bands through the deployment of the first antennas in the 700MHz band in Bogotá, Medellín and Barranquilla, spectrum that was acquired by auction on December 20, 2019, in the so-called “spectrum reassignment”. Given the great growth of this company, the demand for comprehensive services has also increased, demanding from customers the use and quality of network services, which initially were not fully documented, supported and planned, bringing as a current consequence a series Consistency, coverage and firmness drawbacks of the network. This required the intern's input to be able to organize, document and propose alternatives for the efficient use and configuration of IP resources and MPLS services, which have a greater impact on the network infrastructure. By generating and maintaining this well-organized information, it has a direct impact on the advancement and strengthening of the 700MHz network deployment project, among others. This report will expose the performance and activities carried out by the intern in relation to the complete organization, documentation and updating of IP resources, contributing in the search for the best impact on the network infrastructure, planning and migration of services in MPLS nodes. of Bogotá, through the correct organization of networks in IPAM and the elaboration of change orders for transfers between the plants, in order to obtain the best optimization of flows in Bogotá, Barranquilla and Medellín data centers.
