Resumen
The design and construction of a vehicular bridge requires detailed topographic studies to define the area where the structure will be located. These studies, by determining the characteristics of the terrain, allow for a strategic selection that minimizes environmental impacts and guarantees the safety of users. Following the recommendations of structural engineers, the Mayor's Office of the municipality of Silvania, Cundinamarca, decided to build a new vehicular and pedestrian bridge called “Puente La Miel”, located between Calle 9 and Carrera 10, near the main park of Silvania. To carry out the necessary studies and designs for the construction of the bridge, a contract or bidding contest was held on October 24, 2022, which was awarded to the consulting and construction company Geo Puente. The topographic part of this project was developed in three stages. First, a field reconnaissance was performed to determine the location and georeferencing of two geodetic points materialized and tracked with GNSS equipment to obtain precise coordinates. Subsequently, a closed polygon was established using a back-zero methodology. Finally, a complete topographic survey was carried out, including boundaries, roads, furniture, signs, posts, wells, green areas and other relevant elements. This study included planimetry and altimetry to generate the necessary contour lines. In addition, due to the crossing of the La Miel bridge over the Subía river, a bathymetric study was carried out at the request of the specialist engineers. Transverse readings were taken every 10 meters, for a total of 10 sections upstream and 10 sections downstream, using a total station, rod and prism, by means of simple radiation. As a complementary part, the rain and sanitary wells were inspected, as well as the drains, recording their current state, the type of piping and construction materials, then a field review of the collected data was performed, verifying that all the elements are included in their totality, then the corresponding office work of each study is performed, with final delivery and client satisfaction.
