Apoyo en el desarrollo de actividades para el mejoramiento e implementación del Plan de Gestión Integral de Residuos de Atención en Salud y otras actividades (PGIRASA) en la E.S.E Hospital San Vicente del municipio de Ramiriquí, Boyacá, Colombia

Abstract

The Social Enterprise of the State Hospital San Vicente of Ramiriquí proposes the formulation and implementation of the Comprehensive Management Plan for Waste generated in Health Care and other Activities (PGIRASA); with which strategies are carried out from generation to final disposal, which allows preventive measures to be taken that minimize and eliminate any risk factor that may affect human health and the environment, thus being able to comply with the environmental and health regulations, which are developed from the current regulatory context of the country (E.S.E. Hospital San Vicente of Ramiriquí, 2021). With the development of the different activities proposed in the internship carried out between September 1, 2022 and January 20, 2023, progress was sought in the implementation of the PGIRASA, since its shortcomings were evidenced within the institution, said Activities were directed at the general diagnosis of the application of the plan, with the shortcomings that were found, solutions were proposed that led to an improvement, in addition to the diagnosis, different tasks were supported, such as updating the color code for waste disposal. according to current regulations and everything that this entails, support in internal and external audits, training, application of checklists, preparation of minutes, the proposal and implementation of four projects that strengthened the sustainable hospital program, among others, all with the purpose of improving the application of the plan within the entity, which was achieved at the end of the activities.
