Resumen
The need to know the health effects of workers who are exposed to noise exceeding the noise level is for us the reason that led us to carry out the epidemiological surveillance program for the prevention of sensorineural hearing loss in ALKORAYEF ZONA FRANCA S.A.S. Every day the human being is exposed to different types of noise, causing diseases, such as the most common occupational neuro-sensorial hearing loss worldwide that affects the health of exposed workers, is generated in the inner ear, in the auditory nerve or in both, noise is the causative agent of this disease, this exposure can be by long or continuous processes present in workplaces or sudden found anywhere such as schools, street or even in the place of residence, various studies have shown that exposure to high noise levels not only causes hearing loss, but also is accompanied by loss of sleep, stress, psychosocial problems, among others, the ear is the body responsible for receiving sound waves to be transmitted to the brain who interprets it as sound, so that this happens the waves must cross different areas of the ear that have already defined functions (outer, middle and inner ear), sensorineural hearing loss occurs when information is no longer transmitted and therefore the brain stops transforming this information into sound. The purpose of this work is to prevent and control sensorineural hearing loss in workers, in addition to knowing the effects that cause it. In this sense, epidemiological surveillance is a very useful tool through the systematic observation of the environment and people in order to establish the relevant control measures, addressing the risk factors of greater incidence within the working
