Resumen
The objective of this study was to evaluate the sustainability of the dairy farming production system in the upper basin of the Tunjuelo River. Firstly, through the identification of variables with a strong sustainability focus, whose sustainability attributes were defined by the evaluation of natural resource management systems incorporating sustainability indicators - MESMIS (Astier, Masera, Galván, 2008). Subsequently, the calculation of the initial sustainability index (ISI) and the maximum initial sustainability index of the system (ISlM) were performed, using the Díaz methodology (2019), followed by the calculation of the final sustainability index with the multiple regression test, step by step using the SPSS version 20.0 program, which allowed the identification of the sustainability of the production system through a comprehensive vision of the upper basin of the Tunjuelo river Bogotá DC. In general, the results indicate that the sustainability categories of livestock farms are distributed among the different micro-basins and the sustainability index is 77. 6 % (mean).
