Resumen
The respiratory disease Covid-19, commonly called coronavirus 2019, produces symptoms similar to the common flu, presenting asymptomatic cases, symptoms ranging from mild to severe, even in some cases it can be fatal, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus ( WHO, 2019). Faced with this scenario, educational organizations and institutions have been forced to take prevention and response measures that reduce the risk of contagion and spread of COVID-19, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Colombian Government and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. For the reopening of both work and academic activities of the University, it is necessary to manage the necessary measures that reduce the probability of contagion and spread of the virus within the community of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, through planning, implementation and verification of guidelines, protocols and procedures that guarantee the well-being and preservation of the health of students and collaborators of the institution; Specifically, this project aims to develop biosafety protocols for the safe return to the laboratories of the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources-Bosa Porvenir of the Francisco José de Caldas District University, so that when they are put into operation the development of activities in a safe and reliable manner is guaranteed. The Francisco José de Caldas District University, in its Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources, must establish and implement biosafety protocols for its laboratories located in the Bosa Porvenir University Citadel; which contain specific measures and reflect the efforts made by the institution against the containment of COVID-19. These measures are adopted responding to the question: What actions does the Francisco José de Caldas District University take to guarantee the safe return to academic activities within the laboratories of the Bosa Porvenir University Citadel?, in the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic and in accordance with External Circular No. 0018 of 2020, issued by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Labor and the Administrative Department of the Public Function, which establishes that "public and private sector agencies and entities , in accordance with the functions they perform and the nature of the productive activity they carry out, within the framework of the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, they must design specific measures and redouble their efforts in this new phase of containment of the COVID-19 ”(Circular 0018 of 2020); in such a way as to guarantee the preservation of the health of students, teachers, assistants and, in general, all the personnel who carry out academic and work activities within the university facilities.
