Resumen
The present article focuses on analyzing the complexities of governance and rural property management in Latin America, with a particular emphasis on Colombia, specifically in the municipality of Cajibío, located in the Department of Cauca. It examines the relationship between land ownership, armed conflict, and social development, identifying land informality as a significant obstacle to economic and social progress in the region.
To address these challenges, the article proposes investigating the role of the Agricultural Family Unit (UAF) as a key tool for the formalization of rural property. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the UAF within the framework of public policies, particularly in relation to the Social Property Management Plans (POSPR), with the goal of improving governance and management in areas affected by armed conflict.
This project is grounded in the need to understand and address the structural issues facing rural communities in Colombia, aiming to promote sustainable development, economic stability, and social cohesion in Cajibío and similar areas.
