Recomendaciones para el uso de la bicicleta como aporte a la movilidad sostenible en la localidad de Suba: desde una aproximación de la “Política pública de la bicicleta 2021-2039’’

Abstract

This research study contains the process to design recommendations that encourage the use of bicycles as a contribution to sustainable mobility in the locality of Suba from the approach of the "Bicycle Public Policy for the Capital District 2021–2039". This project is based on the four dimensions of sustainability (socio-cultural, eco-environmental, political-ideological, and technical-economic). This research followed mixed methods procedures for data collection and analysis, as well as interviews with local actors to learn about problems and the impact of different conditions that promote and restrict the use of bicycles and influence the quality of life of the population. The results are a set of recommendations to contextualize public policy in the locality, considering the identified issues which make the inhabitants not opt for this means of transport, such as a lack of security, infrastructure, citizen culture, and ignorance of current regulations.
