Resumen
This research developed a socioecological study of the Tibanica urban wetland (Bosa locality) that allowed to demonstrate the processes of transformation in its environment, the perceptions of the population located in its area of influence and the institutional analysis, whose results were inputs to develop strategies towards the resignification of this territory. To do this, aerial photographs of the period 1993-2015 were obtained, which were analyzed from a multitemporal approach; In turn, based on semi-structured surveys, a characterization of the perceptions of the population near the wetland was carried out, being complemented through the institutional analysis of the entities and social organizations that have interference in this territory. On the other hand, the strategies for the resignification of the Tibanica urban wetland were established based on the results mentioned above and the development of a process that involved trips to the wetland, workshops on historical memory, construction of maps and interviews. As conclusions of this work, it was determined that the transformations were caused mainly by illegal urbanization processes, which influenced the decrease of the water mirror of the wetland. The perceptions of the population are influenced by the activities they develop in the wetland, the value assigned to them and their future vision of this space. Finally, the change of a meaning was evidenced based mainly on the ignorance of the place, the one of a space qualified as important, historical, spatial and unique, that generates benefits and allows the enjoyment of nature. The continuity in these resignification processes could in the future generate actions of reappropriation and empowerment of these territories.
