Abstract

Water sources, as a vital part for the development of humanity, must have certain types of care on the part of the inhabitants that surround them, to ensure their conservation and protection, for which the Autonomous Regional Corporation of Cundinamarca to ensure the protection of this water resource developed a methodology to generate a zone of protection round between the line of maximum average levels of the last 15 years and a line parallel to the latter, located 30 meters, on both sides of the river, during during the internship process, the corresponding plans were made with detailed information on the process and zone of the boundary delimited by the corporation. In addition, with the tools provided by the geographic information systems, the area and percentage of the properties affected by this area were identified.
