Resumen
Large retail stores are the commercial sector that should have the best performance in logistics operations, since their raison d'être is the consumption of the customers that enter these establishments. It is necessary and of vital importance to keep the shelves stocked with all the products offered there, thus avoiding shortages that reduce sales and profits of the companies. For this reason, a review of the retail supply chain process was carried out, where the different variables that affect the activities within it were evaluated. This was done in order to identify which processes are critical and can cause discrepancies in the supply, picking, packing and routing operations. Therefore, as a result of the research it can be stated that the main objective of structuring a methodology that has the ability to verify discrepancies in the operations or process of supply, picking, packing and routing in the distribution systems of department stores, was successfully built and is a proposal for companies in this sector. This is a general methodology that can be applied in any organization and is flexible to accommodate any corporate policy.
