Diseño de migración de la infraestructura tecnológica on-premise del área de operaciones financieras de la empresa de energía de Colombia

Abstract

The industry is currently seeking to make its daily processes and operations have precise and effective results when satisfying the needs of the client and the company itself, and one of the important factors to achieve these successful results is undoubtedly its technology, for this reason having the modern technological tools that are at the forefront, makes a company becomes competitive and manages to maximize its value in the market. The project exposes a problem presented in the Energy services company of Colombia, where the financial operations area is currently facing shortcomings in their daily work. One of the main problems they have is the constants unavailability of the billing application, which leads to failures such as issuance of invoices with inconsistent information, erroneous charges to customers, drops constants of the payment portal, loss of information, among others. According to failures mentioned above, technical problems are evident in the infrastructure technological, among which there is the obsolete version of the billing application, obsolescence of equipment such as: servers, telecommunications devices and security, which have not been updated to the latest stable version of the manufacturers. It should be noted that said infrastructure is physically located in a data center at the company's facilities.
