Resumen
The present research project addressed the implementation of an alarm system, transmission and monitoring of skin temperature with thermal images, which is immersed in the macro research project: Non-invasive Model for the Detection of Extrinsic Factors of the SIMs (Rodríguez, Gómez and Perdomo, 2018), approved by the ICDC. The research work focused on the development of both hardware and software, necessary for the implementation of an infrared body temperature monitor through the integration of the high sensitivity infrared sensor Optris Pi 450 and the Raspberry Pi 3 embedded system model B+. The system implemented is capable of capturing and processing skin temperature information from infrared images, detecting and monitoring specific regions of the body, extracting thermal characteristics such as average, minimum, maximum and temperature distribution in a given area. In addition, the system has the ability to generate alerts and logs that indicate irregular or abnormal variations in body temperature. In this way, the monitoring of the human thermo-regulation system is carried out indirectly.
