Resumen
This work presents the creation process of Un cuerpo hecho de susurros y esperlesías, a work for chamber music in which timbre is the main structuring parameter. Composed for transverse flute, clarinet in Bb and acoustic guitar, the piece explores the interaction of timbral layers generated through various instrumental resources, which leads to the establishment of an approach based on modulation and the development of the work through timbre. Throughout the document, the experiences and concepts that gave shape and structure to the work are detailed, such as the sound spectrum, timbral modulation, additive synthesis, and temporal levels, relying on key references such as Denis Smalley, Curtis Roads, Carlos Mastropietro, Tristan Murail, Joshua Fineberg, and Kaija Saariaho. The development of the work was a collaborative exploration process between the composer and the performers, which allowed for significant learning from the feedback received. This type of exploration process opens up new possibilities for musical creation, based on timbre and its expressive potential.
