Construcción de identidad en el Punk : entre la expresión estética y el caos del pogo

Abstract

This research focuses on studying and understanding the different identity expressions of young people from the punk community in the city of Bogotá. For this, it is highlighted how their corporality and various cultural practices, including music, attending gigs and pogos, become forms of resistance against social stigmatization. Through these practices, the young people of this community are able to build a collective identity that allows them to question their place in a society that frequently singles them out. Added to the above is the analysis of the musical element of punk culture, understanding how punk music acts as a link that unites the community, through shared memories and experiences. In this way, this research seeks to make their life experiences and perspectives visible with the aim of challenging the different stigmas associated with their lifestyle, promoting a deeper and more respectful understanding of this urban culture.
