Caracterización ambiental del municipio de Fómeque Cundinamarca en el contexto de la soberanía y seguridad alimentaria

Abstract

In this research, an environmental characterization of the municipality of Fomeque Cundinamarca was undertaken, with the objective of determining the influence of the environmental component in the context of food sovereignty and security. In the development of the project, an investigation of primary and secondary information sources was carried out in order to generate a baseline diagnosis and identify the associated environmental problems. A field visit was also made to get to know the territory and identify the context in which some of its inhabitants live; the direct approach was aimed at the application of information gathering instruments such as surveys and interviews. In addition, a tour was made along some of the rural roads in search of drinking water catchment points, and water samples were collected and analyzed in the laboratory to determine microbiological and pH parameters. Finally, an analysis of the information collected was carried out through the elaboration of a matrix of analysis of environmental aspects and impacts (Leopold) to evaluate the environmental, economic and social conditions in relation to food sovereignty and security in the municipality.
