Nociones de sexualidad de niños y niñas de 5to de primaria del colegio el Rodeo IED

Abstract

The research project "Notions of sexuality" was carried out at the el Rodeo I.E.D. school, with 37 5th grade primary school students, 25 girls and 12 boys ranging from 8 to 13 years of age, which gave me the opportunity to possibility of having the memory and constructions of 5 years of academic schooling, and approximately 8 and 13 years of social, family and cultural immersion in conceptions about human sexuality. This project adopted the qualitative research modality, focused on educational action research, which allowed from its own methodological characteristics the trance between the analysis and the reflection that takes place in the educational act, thus allowing, problematizing, reflecting and transforming actions, situations and conceptions by means of practice, of interaction, of difference. It was then sought, through this project, to give an account of the notions and imaginaries of children from a space that rescues and recognizes their previous word and knowledge, in order to propose a pedagogical intervention situated that responds to their own needs and interests. of the population, likewise, projected as a political and social proposal, focused on empowering processes of autonomy and self-government in children, which enables them to learn, unlearn, construct and de-construct notions, concepts or imaginaries transmitted and permeated by culture.
