Resumen
This research work is development with young people who are in seventh grade, who are in a stage of search of their identity and particularities in their social environment, from a district school in Bogotá. Where it was sought to unveil, the way in which young people build some indispensable knowledge, through the new technological repertoires. In order to support the research, two categories were used which were Essential Knowledge, supported by Jesús Martín Barbero (2003) and New Technological Repertoires supported by Rocío Gómez (2012) and Pierre Lévy (1997). The methodology used was virtual ethnography, based on the qualitative approach and is an interpretive paradigm that allows us to account for the object of study. In conclusion, young people build the essential knowledge through new technological repertoires, that is, this device becomes a reference of their point of view where they build and deconstruct their historical knowledge, aesthetic knowledge and logical-symbolic knowledge.
