La Marimba Sinfónica y Vibráfono en el Rock, contexto, análisis e interpretación de obras de las agrupaciones Trois de Huitième y The Big Trouble

Resumen
This work is presented in the mode of creation or interpretation, which demands the realization of two products: a creative process and a written document. The creative work consists of presenting an audiovisual material compiled from the Trois de Huitième group, which incorporates the symphonic marimba in its repertoire, different case in the rock scene of Colombia that presents an instrumental format consisting of electric bass, drums, electric guitar, tambor alegre, symphonic marimba and voice. This group apply its instrumental format to the Indie Rock, Pop Rock and Progressive Rock with compositions typical of the group and the theme "Red White Blue Orange" by the group The Big Trouble. The written document is structured in two chapters, the first chapter studies the historical context of symphonic marimba, vibraphone and rock, contextualized from the 20th century to the present day and showing the main groups and instrumentalists that have contributed to the evolutionary process of the marimba; the second chapter shows a detailed analysis of the work "Red White Blue Orange" of the group The Big Trouble and of the work "Silencio" of the group Trois de Huitième, focusing on harmonic, melodic and instrumental elements; added to its context and trajectory.
